Terms and Conditions

These Terms are a contract between you (the adult account holder - a parent/carer or an Educator) and Kvasi Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17126186), registered office in London, UK ("Kvasi", "we", "us"). By creating an account you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Kvasi

  • You must be 18 or over to create and hold an account, and by registering you confirm you are 18+.
  • Only a parent/carer creates and owns a child's profile ("player"). By creating a child profile you confirm you are that child's parent/carer (or have their parent/carer's authority), and you are responsible for the profiles you create and for supervising use.
  • Educators do not create or own children's profiles. An Educator account is for running a classroom: the Educator invites parents to join, and each parent decides - per child - what learning data (if any) the Educator may see. An Educator may also run name-only group activities, where a child simply enters a name to play; that is a temporary session, not an account, and no learning record is kept against a child's identity.
  • Linking class and home. A child whose parent has created an account can be linked to an Educator's classroom (by the parent accepting the Educator's invite) so the child's progress is shared with the Educator to the extent the parent allows. The profile and all data remain owned by the parent's account; the parent can change what is shared, or unlink, at any time.
  • Accounts are held and managed by adults, not by children directly.

2. Accounts and security

  • You must give an accurate email and keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • We may require email verification. Verifying your email also acts as a basic adult-presence / parental-responsibility signal for a children's product.
  • Don't share credentials or let others use your account.

3. Subscriptions, free trial and payment

  • Parents get a 30-day free trial. After the trial, an active subscription is required to add or continue with child profiles. Price: £15 per month (the exact price is shown on the pricing/checkout page before you pay). Prices include any VAT due; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Educators use Kvasi free of charge.
  • No lock-in. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't charge again after you cancel.
  • Auto-pause, not silent charging. If an account becomes inactive, the subscription is paused rather than continuing to bill you; you can resume it when you return.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) via Stripe-hosted checkout; Stripe's terms also apply to the payment and card details never reach Kvasi's systems. Stripe handles secure card entry, strong customer authentication (3-D Secure) and VAT.
  • Your cancellation rights: as a UK consumer you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. Because Kvasi gives you immediate access to digital content, by starting your trial/subscription you agree we may begin providing it straight away; if you cancel within 14 days you may be charged for the part you've used. Nothing here removes your non-excludable statutory rights. Beyond that, you can cancel any time (above) and we offer refunds where required by law or at our reasonable discretion.

4. What you get

  • A subscription is one membership per child, giving full access to the learning world, personalised learning, parent insights, and content released over the life of Kvasi at no extra cost. There are no in-app purchases and no advertising.
  • Features, realms and interfaces may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves. We don't guarantee any specific feature will remain available.
  • AI-generated audio. Kvasi reads words and sentences aloud using a synthetic, AI-generated narrator voice, marked with an inaudible watermark as AI-generated. We do not record or collect your child's voice. See the Privacy Policy §10.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the service; attempt to access other accounts or the analytics data of other children; reverse-engineer or scrape the service except as permitted by law; or use Kvasi for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or put children's safety at risk.

6. Content and intellectual property

  • The Kvasi platform, curriculum, lexicon, artwork, characters and the Norse-inspired world are owned by Kvasi or its licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them for your family's / classroom's learning.
  • You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or build competing products from Kvasi content, except to the limited extent the law permits regardless of these Terms.

7. Availability, "as is", and liability

  • We work hard to keep Kvasi available and accurate but provide it "as is" and "as available"; we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from defects, and it is not a substitute for formal schooling or professional educational, psychological or medical assessment.
  • No guaranteed outcomes. Kvasi is a learning aid. Children learn at different rates and in different ways, and many factors outside our control affect progress. We therefore do not guarantee any particular educational result, level of attainment, reading age, or learning outcome, and nothing in Kvasi, our marketing, or these Terms should be taken as such a promise.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
  • Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable or that does not result from our breach (including indirect or consequential loss). This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Ending your use

  • You can delete your account at any time. Erasure severs your children's learning data from their identity and removes their records (see the Privacy Policy §7).
  • We may end or suspend the service, or your account, on reasonable notice (immediately for serious breach or safety reasons).

9. Changes to these Terms

We version these Terms (v3-2026-06-25). We'll notify you of material changes and, where required, ask you to re-accept. The version you accepted is recorded in your consent history.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and nothing here removes consumer protections available to you under local law.
